You may have come across the saying: ‘Our comfort zones are a nice place to be, but nothing grows there’. Come along to this workshop to understand the benefits of stepping outside your comfort zone and saying ‘yes’ to the things you want to do.

By taking action, you can improve your self-confidence and move closer to achieving your goals. With practical activities and techniques, you’ll learn how to reframe failure, move through procrastination and start achieving more.

This workshop is free and open to all Pembroke students, as part of the LEAP Programme.

Thank you to the Master of Pembroke, Lord Chris Smith, for sharing his lessons in leadership with the LEAP Cohort this evening.

His top tips were:
1) See the big picture & give everyone in your organisation a sense of purpose
2) Success doesn’t always come in a straight line - keep your goal in view & don’t be deterred
3) Be prepared to fail
4) Hold your nerve
5) Leadership is not about being out front & telling everyone to follow. Build relationships and bring everyone on a common journey
6) Know yourself

Wise words!
